These things are quality no problem and they hook up fish that's for sure. First day out caught several fish. Second night even caught more.

Purchased the 600cts tournament series combo and it definitely was worth. The reel itself is very smooth and rod can handle a good fight caught a 12lbs,19lbs,21lbs flathead all in the same night ...no need to hesitate go ahead and purchase

I used to only run Gamakatsu circle hooks, but a buddy told me to try the Catfish Pro ones. I grabbed the value pack bundle and honestly, the price is hard to beat. After using them, I’m impressed. They perform really well. I’d even say better than the Gamakatsus for me. I haven’t missed a hookup yet. Super sharp, solid hooks, and they seem really well made. Definitely glad I gave them a shot.

Been testing the catfish rod out on Northern California Sturgeon. First test is the blanks ability to slinging up to 20oz of weight. Second test is the sensitivity to detect the subtle bite of a fish that goes well over 200 lbs at times. Third test is rod backbone and reel seat ability to handle the hookset of 100 lbs braid on a monster sturgeon. Lastly the ability to fight the fish while staying anchored. I’ve boated 11 fish in the last 2 weeks over 100 pounds. Biggest going 180 pounds. Many other smaller Dino’s. I’m extremely impressed with the M/H rod selection.
