Been testing the catfish rod out on Northern California Sturgeon. First test is the blanks ability to slinging up to 20oz of weight. Second test is the sensitivity to detect the subtle bite of a fish that goes well over 200 lbs at times. Third test is rod backbone and reel seat ability to handle the hookset of 100 lbs braid on a monster sturgeon. Lastly the ability to fight the fish while staying anchored. I’ve boated 11 fish in the last 2 weeks over 100 pounds. Biggest going 180 pounds. Many other smaller Dino’s. I’m extremely impressed with the M/H rod selection.

I am from Florida and we put this rod to the test on some sharks on the beach and I can honestly say that it was more than capable of fighting these beasts! Foul proof guides, a ton of backbone, and plenty of strength. I’d highly recommend!

Took my kids out to Wyoming for Memorial Day weekend and got a bag of Chum pods just to give them a try.. Man was I not expecting how well they would work! We Cought 3 carp.. 19th, 18.5 lbs, and 16lbs, my self one and each of my sons one.. we cought them within minutes of hiking them to our live bait.. we have finished the same like previously and haven’t had such luck in such a short time. These things work I’m gonna go try them out for catfish next!

Caught my personal best flathead on the 600 cts and tournament series rod medium heavy with catfish pro 6/0 double offsets. I needed a new pair of grippers and these always do the job. After catching fish, this allows me to get a great grip on the lip to pull the hook out. So, I'm able to maintain control, weigh, and avoid getting hurt by the fins. Great grippers while being slim and compact.

This fish lip gripper is good quality being made with marine grade stainless steel and a hard foam cushioned grip. There is a built-in scale with max capacity of 40 lbs which is awesome for instant weight of the fish while holding the fish with the gripper. Amazing quality rod the glowing tip lasts long enough for your night vision to kick it. It was undamaged and got here early with a nice hand written note. Can’t believe how cheap it is for how well crafted this rod is.I Love this company!
